Is It The Arrow Or The Indian

Being from Oklahoma, the phrase above is sometimes used to talk about the quality of the equipment versus the skill of the user.  For example, my dad once said when it comes to golf equipment, Jack Nicklaus could beat you with a crooked stick even if you had the latest and greatest set of golf clubs.

I just recently got a new Fujifilm X100F as mentioned in my first post.  It may very well be the best street shooting camera available today with fast autofocus, 24 megapixel, those great Fuji film simulations, and the list goes on.  Will it make me a better street photographer?  Maybe, maybe not but if it motivates me to go out and make more pictures it might.  The initial thrill of a new toy, especially for a gadget guy like me, sometimes doesn't last long.  I've bought a lot of "stuff" over the years and also returned a lot after playing with it a couple of days.  I'm jealous of some the reviewers that get the latest and greatest stuff to play with for free.  Will the X100F be the same story?  I don't think so but time will tell.  For the time being, I'm really enjoying using it and has caused me to want to get out and shoot.  That's a good thing I think.
